New Guidelines
This is an unprecedented time for all of us and we are doing our part to be as responsible and cautious as possible. We have implemented new safety measures using the guidance of our state officials and the CDC. We are committed to not only entertaining your family, but keeping them safe as well! To help us share our toys and not our germs, the following guidelines have been put in place until further notice:
New Hours
These new hours are subject to change and are temporary until we know what to expect with attendance. Any changes will be communicated via our Facebook and Website, so please check before visiting us.
Sun- Thu: Closed
Fri: 10am – 8pm
Sat: 10am – 6pm
Temperature Checks
We are requiring that all employees and all guests have their temperature taken with a contactless thermometer before entering our facility. If a temperature of 100.4 or above is detected, your group will not be allowed to enter our facility.
Face Masks
We require that all guests ages 5 and up wear a mask at all times while inside Otterville, except while seated and eating at our cafe tables.
– In accordance with the mandate, masks may also be removed while outside, as long as a 6ft distance is kept for social distancing.
We have adult sized masks for sale for $1.00. We are working on locating children’s sizes as quickly as possible.
Hand Sanitation
Before entering, we will require that all guests use hand sanitizer. We have over 25 sanitizer machines installed throughout our facility. Machines are placed at the entrance of every play room to use before and after playing.
Shoe Sanitation
Shoes are full of germs too! Before entering, each guest will be required to clean the bottoms of their shoes on a disinfecting mat.
Coughing & Other Illness Symptoms
By entering Otterville, you agree that you are healthy and free of any symptoms of illness. If you or anyone in your group is exhibiting any signs of illness after being admitted into our facility, (ie – excessive coughing, vomiting etc.) we reserve the right to request that you and your group leave. Refunds will not be offered if you or anyone in your group is asked to leave because of symptoms of illness.
Wrist Bands
To avoid contact, employees will no longer be putting wrist bands on guests. We will distribute the wristbands to the adult guest in the group and ask that they put the wristbands on each member. Wristbands must be put on at check in, in front of the employee. At exit, each guest MUST show their wrist band number to the employee so numbers can be verified.
Social Distancing
We will be operating at 50% capacity to help with social distancing. There are markers on the floor to keep lines spaced out at the cafe and at the check in desk. Plexiglass barriers have been set up at check in and the cafe counter. We’ve added extra seating outside under our new gazebos. Tables have been spaced 6 ft apart in the cafe and capacity signs are posted at the entrance of each play area. We ask that our guests comply with capacity limits in each room and wait for guests to leave before entering if the room is at max capacity.
Toy Sanitation
Otterville already has a very strict protocol for our toy sanitation and disinfecting. We will continue to deep clean all toys and high touch areas at the end of each day. We will also continue to close areas down throughout the day to disinfect and sanitize. We will close areas down one at a time, in rotation from open to close. Please be patient with us as areas will need to be shut down for approx 15 minutes at a time to be properly cleaned and dried. We also have toy baskets in each room. We ask that if you see your child put a toy in his/her mouth, that the toy be removed from the floor and added to our basket so we can thoroughly clean and sanitize the toy for other guests to enjoy. Bathrooms will also be included in our cleaning rotation for disinfecting. Once a week, our bathrooms are fully sanitized and disinfected by Cintas from floor to ceiling.
Food & Beverages
As always, no outside food or beverages are permitted inside Otterville. To avoid contact where we can, orders will not be delivered to your table, they will be available for pick up at the side counter. Our employees will be cleaning and sanitizing tables between guests so we ask that you do not sit at a table until an employee has thoroughly cleaned it. At this time we will not be offering refills on fountain drinks.
Areas Temporarily Closed
To comply with state and CDC restrictions, these areas will be temporarily unavailable: face paint station, dress up area, and our ball pit.
